A figure stands suspended between earth and sky, body grounded while the mind drifts somewhere softer. The head dissolves into a cloud form, weightless, restless, expansive.
This piece was inspired by someone who used to send me long, unfiltered essays of text. Pages of thoughts about the world, about beauty, about the way he saw things, and sometimes about me. His mum once described him as having his head in the clouds. It was never an insult. It was a recognition of how deeply and expansively he felt.
This drawing holds that energy. Tenderness, imagination, and the ache of someone who lives slightly above the ordinary.
