This drawing shows a complete figure curled into a fetal position, holding himself within the shape of his own body. I was drawn to the sense of completeness within the pose. He requires nothing else within the image to make him whole.
The World represents completion, fulfilment and the closing of a cycle. The fetal position also carries the suggestion of beginning again, allowing the end of the Major Arcana to contain the possibility of another beginning. The figure exists between those two points, complete within himself as one cycle closes and another waits to begin.
