Sling - A study of tension held close to the body. The figure stands upright, head tipped back, chest open, arms drawn behind him by the pull of the straps across his shoulders. There is a sense of restraint in the pose, balanced by trust and exposure. The pencil lines linger on muscle and bone, giving weight to the body’s stillness and the vulnerability of offering oneself upward, waiting for release.
